David GI4FUM will be leading a DXpedition to southern Namibia in March 2012 with the aim of entering a multioperator station for the CQ WPX SSB contest. On this trip most of the team members will fly into Cape Town and spend a few days sightseeing around the Cape. We will stay near to the famous Victoria & Albert Waterfront - the largest shopping mall in Africa. We will visit Table Mountain and the Stellenbosch wineries. We will also go out to Robin Island and see where Nelson Mandela spent many years in prison. We will then drive with our tour guide up the West coast to Oranjemund in Namibia where we will operate under individual Namibian callsigns for the week prior to the CQ WPX contest. Team members need not concern themselves about bringing equipment with them as Daniel ZS6JR will provide rigs, amplifiers and antennas. To see what is available please check Daniel's Technical page.

We will return to Cape Town after the CQ WPX contest operation and will fly out from there on 28th March. For economical flights team members should consider flying with Emirates via Dubai.
